Wingsby cginoComment by pixelpig: Love the watery greens in this--lovely w/that frame. Well done (though the original is also lovely). I'm glad you post your steps, it makes interesting reading. |

Old Newsby cginoComment by cogerox: That did take you all night to explain! And well worth it. I'll be running off to paintingwithbrushes to steal some layers shorty. Your creativity always astounds me and this is no exception. This has the feel of a painting on wax paper with candle wax spilled on top. Very powerful texture and depth. Lovely. |

Violet Sighby cginoComment by pixelpig: Holy cow! where did you get that frame! "D It looks really good all of a sudden. The extra texture adds a lot & suddenly I feel like I could use a nice bubble bath. |

By any other nameby cginoComment by Jutilda: This screams for a sweet Irish poem somehow. WOW
'Tis the last rose of summer
Left blooming alone;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone;
No flower of her kindred,
No rosebud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
To give sigh for sigh.
I'll not leave thee, thou lone one!
To pine on the stem;
Since the lovely are sleeping,
Go, sleep thou with them.
Thus kindly I scatter,
Thy leaves o'er the bed,
Where thy mates of the garden
Lie scentless and dead.
So soon may I follow,
When friendships decay,
From Love's shining circle
The gems drop away.
When true hearts lie withered
And fond ones are flown,
Oh! who would inhabit,
This bleak world alone?

Old Newsby cginoComment by Jutilda: I just can't tell you how much I love this. It would make a lovely print too. I like the deep rich gold with that pop of red. YUM YUM

Lava Rock Sunriseby cginoComment by Melethia: This shot is perfectly suited to HDR and you've pulled it off beautifully wintout having it LOOK like an HDR process. I really love the wide angle - definitely my kind of landscape and you have a wonderful perspective on this one. One question - when I try to overlay something HDR'd onto a copy of the RAW image in CS3, I can't get it to fit. I use Photomatix as a stand-alone, not a plug-in to CS3. Is this my problem? Or is it just me? :-) |
