What apparently happy people! Although the one on the right seems slightly out of focus, the essence is still there. The catch lights in the eyes make the faces sparkle. I like the sepia toning, too.

I just have to ask.. Is the name of the person to the left Michaela Renner? If yes, I went to school with her some years ago.. On a more photographical level: Not reeeealy symmetrical, but not bad either. Too bad that you didn't get both in focus (7)

I admit that I don't understand how it relates to the challenge theme, too. But I think it's better than the score you got. It looks like an oil painting to me and I like that effect.
