Pretty good picture of a dog - I do like your perspective - but not a "high scoring DPC Free Study" picture of a dog. The diagonal stuff behind draws the eye, taking away from your subject, and the light appears to be coming from the sides/back more than the front - and it's the front where you want a bit more light, to highlight the face and eyes a bit better.
