Dark Mountainby onegr8dadyComment by PigleT: OK, that's a weird effect - it looks as though you were under an overhang right up until I got to the bottom. |

Dark Mountainby onegr8dadyComment by FairyWings: Wow. That's stunning. I wasn't expecting there to be a house at the bottom. I thought it was a close up at first. Very cool. |

Dark Mountainby onegr8dadyComment by Tlemetry: This doesn't look real. The background looks like a close up of tree bark. Though I have seen some rock formations look like that (much smaller scale). Why would anyone plant a house that close to that sheer of a rock wall? Wouldn't they risk having a humongous boulder fall and squish them all flat?
Good use of raking light to give texture and detail to the 'rock wall'. The light of the house is much to blinding and blown out for me. |

Over the Rver ...by onegr8dadyComment by noraneko: I really wish you had straightened the horizon here and not reduced the image size so much, because this is a worthy shot that will probably get voted down for those two factors. The grain suits this subject well. |

Over the Rver ...by onegr8dadyComment by buzzy: Nice shot. Next time, use the max 640px resolution and 150kb size you're allowed - it will give the shot that much more impact, and people get very used to looking at shots of a particular size. When yours is much smaller, it'll lose out. |
