Comment by SteveJ:
Good capture. Colours stand out well and focus is spot on. I wonder if this is still ever used, although it seems well past its best!

It is getting all to common now a days to see empty parks. But you watch the moment someone wants to try and develop that parcle of land and the people will flood the planing office with complaints and the park will fill up for ashot while.

It only takes a small rumor to get the ball rolling you know and befor you know it BAHM full.

I'll start one for you right here and you can share it with your neighbours.

"Hey scwalsh I have it on good authority that because no one uses Fullers Park down the street any more it's been sold to a developer and he's trying right now to get the plans approved for a six story condo development as well as some low income housing. Do you think we should do something to stop him?"

You can feel free to edit the rumor however you see fit.

Hope to see this shot next month packed full of kids.

You can say I'm just trying to do my part.

Ah yes I do and they are painfull memories at that. My much larger friend and I were on one in our park and the "cool kids" took off the handle grips.

My large friend thought it would be fun to get off and let me fall crashing to the ground. It proved to be great fun. As I came crashing to the ground everyone was laughing at the spectacle that was I, until I let out a hair raising screem because the handle bar had embeded itself into my knee and tore the muscle from the bone.

Oh what fun and the memories, well you can just guess how I feel the vision is flooding back.

I think I need some tissue and an ice pack.

Thank you for this it had been so long I almost had removed it from my memory.

How is she for mileage? The angle of the shot is good and the crop works well.

I like this macro. The brown is complemented by the same color in the background. Good detail on the dead flower.
