I feel that the white furry thing on the top of the couch balances out the dog on the bottom of the couch nicely, preventing it from weighing it down to the left. I think that the pillow that your dog is comfortably sleeping on should not have been in the picture, because it's too bright and large, and it throws off the nice warm browns a bit too much. Nice job. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

| 05/24/2003 02:11:35 AM | B.R.M.C.by KIKIComment by KIKI: Thank You everyone for your comments....some were helpful. As for the spots graininess etc.... This was at an actual concert, and I was front row, that's why there weren't any heads infront of me (uabresch). There also was some sort of mist, fog, smoke, whatever they blow out at concerts surrounding him. If you'll notice by the guitar; and somehow my flash reflected off of the smoke. Which makes it looks as though rays of light
were coming down from the left- down. So no there was not anything on my lens, and it wasn't raining ither(pinback). One, last thing as far as black being a secondary color(GreggeN), thank you, I am fully aware of that. The lighting was an actual green light at the top right corner and on the bottom the lights were actually orange. There is also an orange cord on the ground; last time I checked these were secondary colors! I am very proud of this photo, it is in it's natural state. The way I like to keep things!
Thanks Again Everyone! |

Hi,
First thing that came to my mind when I saw your entry was, "How did you get that picture without getting the back of a bunch of heads at the bottom?" (You know, other spectators.)
I like this picture (I am one of the two 8s you got). I have no idea who B.R.M.C. is, but I liked the guy's concentration on his guitar, how he seems to be absorbing the music ... and this from a 50 year old woman who listens only to classical! I like his hair. I love the graininess of the picture - in this case, makes it more real, not like a glossy promo picture, but like being at a real concert. The green is beautiful, it kind of radiates from the corner.
That said, the photo is more a personal memento than a picture that would do well in a contest, or mean much to the casual viewer. It is a grainy shot, the spots are noticeable (especially the big one over his right shoulder). It is a bit out of focus. I don't really know how you could get a better shot under the circumstances and with your 775; I'm assuming you couldn't set up a tripod or use special lighting :)
For what it is, it's good. I say, add some words (or the name of the band) to it, and make yourself a poster!
Take care,
Ursula (uabresch)

Though the green is very obvious, the thing that catches my attention and focus is the bass. And though it looks orangy, it seems more red to me. Not a huge deal, though. 6 | Photographer found comment helpful. |
