MFSC #23 - tulipby DeniseComment by stargazer05766: Spectacular variations in tulip..Tones are great esp. the interior barely transparent on the white petal.
If u don't mind me saying..
I can envision a greater crop w a subtle bg which might make it totally POP!!
Remember everyone sees things differently and just saying how i might see this...
If u like u can tell me to shut my pie hole:)

MFSC #21 - English Daisyby DeniseComment by rlewis: Very interesting flower and a lot of potential here. If I may, let me share a couple of comments. Focus doesn't seem to be tight on the flower. Often times, if you eyesight permits, manual focus for smaller items works better than autofocus. It is easy for the autofocus to catch something in the background or off the center of the target when you push the shutter release. If your lens would permit, a shallower depth of field (lower number f stop) might have blurred the background a little more. The background is a bit distracting. I could see moving so that the other flower in the background could serve as a counterpoint in the composition to this flower. Finally, you have stems, grass or something running through the background. Changing the point of view, DOF or lighting can correct those problems....one of those things you have to be aware of before you push the shutter. |
