In your face color ! You have shown the white bracets to perfection. I think a bit of diffusion would have helped the bright light but it is GORGEOUS !

Bougainvillea love them can't grow them here it gets to cold. Just a little bright IMO could've increased your shutter speed, or adjusted the exposure in raw before converting to jpeg. JMO!

You might also want to carry something so that you could shade the flower, some shade cloth just so it's not so bright.

Great flower, but I think this image lacks some sharpness; also, the composition gives the sense of something chopped off top right. I've recently started looking at some of those golden rectangle / divine proportions grids which have helped me to think about how to develop better composition - perhaps it's worth taking a look? I followed a thread somewhere in a DPC forum.

A side challenge like this is the perfect opportunity to try and iterate a technique.

Beautiful shot. It;s easy to forget that the colourful parts are the calyxes and the reak flowers are tiny. Your macro really gives them their due.
