I would have liked a tighter grouped/cropped shot. My opinion. Nice photo!! (8)

Comment by h2:
nicely arranged, good lighting. had preferred a slightly shallower DOF to get rid of the structures in the backgrounf

Comment by HeiSch:
Both of these shots are the right choice: fill the frame. The color tones are spectacular and very well captured.
I like the other close up a bit better. Although both have their fascination in different ways. With so many outstanding shots, the choice is hard.
You balanced both pics very well.

Wow, is this a fire? A much tighter crop might work well. with lots of sky, so you could follow the smoke (?) beeing blown over the mountain.
Great night capture with a perfect balance of separation of the mountains from the sky. With so much light polution from NYC and the suburbs, I'd have to drive 3 hours away to see a sky like this :(

I think I know what you tried to accomplish here. The various mountains in the foregound, layered in front of Mt Rainier (?). I feel the mood is overpowered by the bright yellow/orange part at the top. I tried to crop it to portrait with the moutain peak almost touching the top, but the low res does not do justice to the mood. May be the hi res of the original works better.
