It took me a couple seconds to see the pot. Maybe a different dof (to bring the pot into slightly better focus) would help you avoid the dreaded DNMC votes?

I think you will score lower than you deserve, becasue not everyone will stop long enough to see it.

Nice capture - Like the pin sharp eye - As for the challenge of shadows I tend to see the lizard more than the shadow which isn't very vreative. Nice wildlife study though

I think this one would have been better if you followed the rule of thirds. The center presentation detracts from the overall effect of the image. Nice focus though and a cool idea.

The gradient border is an interesting idea, but makes the picture look like a button. The Blimp while having great detail doesn't have anywhere to go in the frame, so it looks cramped. The gradient doesn't help that. If you could have cropped so the blimp is in the upper right thirds point it would look great.

I see I'm not the only one who has trouble getting the sky to cooperate. It would have been so much better with a blue sky and a few clouds, but sometimes they are just not there! I really like the shot though and even though borders usually get the thumbs down on DPC, I really like this one - even with mother nature not cooperating with you. 8

It's just too backlit for my liking. I think a conversion to black and white with the dodging to the underside would have made a better photo.
