Simple and to the point! hehehe
The shadow definetely adds a lot of interest to the shot. Borders always rouse great debates on the site, but I think your border really makes this shot work. The shot is good, but I wonder if it could be better if pin was on left?

I have to agree with everybody pretty much. The curved plate is awesome. Very nice lines. I think it was very creative use of cheetohs. The cheetohs and the table cloth have very nice texture. The whole shot I think has a nice "feel" between the textures and colors. I like the composition. Only improvement I can see, and it is minor, is a little bit of adjustment to the lighting. It seems just a wee bit bright coming in on bottom left. It is not very distracting at all, just a thought. Maybe a little editing could do it. It is a nice shot overall. Very pleasing to the eye.

I'm not sure about the blue either. That said, the crop and framing are tremendous. I can almost see him jumping out of the water while barking, and creating a huge "noisy" splash.

Excellent lighting. Makes me want to buy a wooden man. The pose is interesting. Only suggestion is to work on the grape and try to make it "glow" a little more (maybe brighten it with more back lighting?)

This guy looks like he's singing! I like the composition and the cropping but I would have liked a smoother, less noisy look to the shot. I don't think the blue adds anything to it, but I'd have to see it will different options really to tell for sure.

It sure is a cute shot.

I really like the lighting in this one. The black background works well here and I like how you've left some black space on the right side a bit.

I like the blue hue to this photo, I think it makes the photo standout
I think it would just be another good animal shot if the coloring was left std as the inside of the mouth would distract from the great cropping used here

I like this the depth of focus it is near perfect... but for the second cheese thing from the bottom it seems to be to close, moved back half an inch it would be fine (or just USM it a bit)
it is great how you picked up the weave in the table cloth
and as the others have said great use of color and composition

I do think it's nice to see just a friendly straight-on sort of portrait. All the artsy lighting and angles are fine, but yours looks like it does capture her personality. If I knew her, THIS is probably the kind of photo I'd want to have of her....not really an arty sort of one (if that makes sense.)

Technically it seems fine. It's in great focus without being oversharpened or over softened (which I think happens a lot in these kinds of shots.) Lighting is nice and diffused - although it would have been nice to see a little more light in the eyes. And I like the dof, with the blurred background. It would be interesting to see this one in color too. Nice job capturing the image of your lovely wife!
