Butterflyby StevePaxComment by npage: Nice photo. For me it would be better if the focus was a little sharper. |

Butterflyby StevePaxComment by sn4psh07: Wow there are a lot of butterflies in this challenge. In terms of the composition of the picture, I think there is probably a bit too much dark negative space and that detracts slightly from the butterfly, especially in the lower right-hand corner of the image. Depending on what the rest of the image looked like, maybe you could have tried putting the head of the butterfly right in the middle of the image.
On a more technical note, it looks to me as though the focus is a little bit off. It seems as though only the lower left part of the butterfly is in focus, and too shallower depth of field seems to take the rest of the butterfly out of focus from there. Given the very blurry background maybe you could have tried using the unsharp mask at a higher level. |

Butterflyby StevePaxComment by channeled: Not enough contrast between the butterfly & the limb. Kind of tends to blend in and doesn't stand out with a WOW effect. Loved the idea of it, just think it could have been better on something more contrasting. |

Homemade Lace.jpgby StevePaxComment by faidoi: Taking picture of needles is pretty tough. They reflect a lot of light. Taking your camera out of Auto mode is usually recommended. Some time the camera will let in way too much light in and your picture is ruined. Doing it yourself can bring back the sharpness . |
