nice snowy effect. great exposure, which is near impossible with this type shot.
I'd call it "turning wood" or the "lathe master" you don't need to clarify with the title.

Fascinating action shot. I like the flying bitsof wood, but they also make it hard to see the subject. Perhaps instead of a flash, or in addition to the flas a strong light from the side?

EXtreeeeeeme close-up. I'm unable to get an intense yellow like this in the flower I shoot. It's always bleeding and clipping. I really like the idea of taking a sunflower from the side and not having a background. It's the kind of image I always like but I never have the guts to crop a subject. Congrats,

I think you've captured a great moment. I really like the composition. I have to agree with the majority about the blue thing though. I think I understand the "feel" you're going for, but I'd like to see it natural. It might then look like another animal shot, but I think a great animal shot is...a great animal shot. :-)
