Falling Nightmareby StevePaxComment by Kavey: The motion is great and the chosen lighting really brings it out very well. I like the way the model is low down in the frame with lots of negative space above, to show the distance fallen, but I am not sure the shape of the image overall works well for me.
In terms of content this is very powerful for me as I have vertigo. Once upon a time I was commuting home from work and the escalators at Tottenham Court Road tube station were closed. The spiral staircase there is particularly deep and I just froze half way down, with that strong feeling that I was about to fall. I was stuck there for several minutes until a sympathetic man stopped and asked if he could help me down by walking very slowly infront of me. Uugh. |

Lonely Hotelby StevePaxComment by bruski: This looks like a toy version of one of the "urban landscapes" images. The highlights are a little hot, but other than that, nice idea and good composition. |

A Brilliant Idea...by StevePaxComment by LucidLotus: The light bulb stands out well against the background - good focus - how did you get it so the background wasn't lit up by the bulb? Compositionally I don't find the image very interesting, but I do think it is well-executed and fits both its title and the challenge. 7 |

A Brilliant Idea...by StevePaxComment by dsidwell: Really cool idea. Edison at his best! 'twould be nice if the bulb itself were nearly invisible so we could focus on the cool mechanics inside it. Try this: using Selective Color, add black to the Neutral colors, and fiddle with that for a while. |
