Danger Zone by DiversqComment by inspzil: Great subject. Too bad about the sky color and the plane color being almost identical. More contrast would've been better, but still a good subject. |

Danger Zone by DiversqComment by alanfreed: Excellent!
Judging from my extensive knowledge of aircraft, I would have to say that this is a flight of the Viper East Demonstration Team F-16. And, given the obvious condensation trails pouring off the foreplanes and wingtips, I'd say that this would be consistent with the conditions at the Rhode Island ANG Airshow, Quonset Point. Also, given that I'm the owner of a D100 myself, I can judge by the subtle nuances of the shot that this photo was also taken with a D100. Plus I saw the shot with all the details over on PhotoSIG. :)
I love the smoke and the red in the afterburner hoodingle (pardon the technical names). This is just shy of a 10 in my book. Just a teeny tiny bit more contrast and/or sharpness to bring the jet out a hair more against the sky would be the difference. Awesome job. - 9 |

Danger Zone by DiversqComment by Sheila: Oh my goodness!! How in the world did you get this shot? A photo that really depicts "SPEED" It looks like it is made of aluminum and could fall apart any second....10 |
