Good connection with the challenge. I don't see a natural point of focus or path for the eye, which might cause the viewer to think "what am I supposed to be looking at?"

IIt defintiely looks like a chily evening, but I think the photo needs a centre of interest to give it that something extra.....

Good silhouette effect. Unfortunately there seems to be no main subject to your photo - no point of interest. The grass in the foreground is interesting, but not interesting enough to hold my attention for very long. Keep practising. You've made a good start here.

I like the purple glow of the lights behind the trees/houses, and I like the kind of silhouette look of the trees and buildings. The lighted foreground really hurts this shot for me, completely taking away from the top part of the photo. It's almost like two different shots merged together.

For me there is no really strong point of interest for the eyes to settle on. The lake is a bit dark to make a strong subject as well as the far shore. I do like the sky and the colors of the shot.

dirty 2 inch brush detail.... could probably be cleaned with xylol - wear rubber gloves. Selective focus is ok and black back isolates, real nice light.

this is intriguing, I'm not sure what the object is (and that's typically good)...something about it could be more interesting, maybe the lack of color, but that is was makes it intriguing...

A brush. Hmm. I wish it has more colours. Like Van Gogh brush ;) The idea is interesting. I give it 5.

It's a two inch brush. A number 2 brush is probably MUCH smaller.
