Ah, the famous "fork in the grass" trick. Love the vibrant colors in this image. I tried HDR a few times, but couldn't get it to work for me. With this example, maybe I'll try again. BTW, really nice composition too.

Wildly effective image, though I'm not sold on the yellow blotches on the hydrant; personally I'd clone the suckers out, but that's just me :-) As for tarnish, if it's old silverplate it may not be recoverable. A fine jewelry store can tell you if you take it in. Ask them if you can shoot Fork with some diamonds while you are there :-)
