Despite being a nice photograph, this entry does not fall within the parameters of this weeks challenge. That being said, I must judge this photograph accordingly. :-(

The picture is a good one...except that it is rather 'blah!' I played baseball for over 35 years and it is my favorite sport and I should be drooling over this shot now that the doctors have told me no more active sports...baseball included. But...after checking... no drool! ;)

It is the perspective of the shot that is where, in my opinion, you went wrong. I believe that you should have filled the whole shot with pictures of baseball. The factories or whatnot in the upper right hand corner, the bleachers' fencing and railings, all of that could go. If you wanted to include the bleachers for effect then maybe taking the picture from the outfield thereby including the bleachers as a part of the game...which it is. But just a part...

I would have taken the picture from behind the backstop probably. Nobody is playing apparently, so go onto the field and put your back to the backstop. Climb the backstop and take a picture from high up showing the infield and bases a little better.

The main thing to think of though is that with a title such as "America's Greatest Game Ever Played", you need a picture that with show the grandness of the game... the feel a basball player gets when he is on a field but isn't playing. Make it more than grand.

I do have to say...the fact that you picked baseball as the sport for the challenge...and the picture you entered...shows you got some potential!! Keep at it!!

Symmetrical indeed, but I'd try to remove a bit of the noise.
