blown hilites in areas
hard shadows
processing that is excessive and at the same time not enough skin too smooth or not smooth enough

I am a details person, I need to see all the details
"OOh thats harsh lighting"
"Or your pic is a little soft or over sharpened"
or the ever present equipment judgement..(oh brother!!)
"I prefer natural lighting over flash"
Whenever I hear that it tells me ,that they are afraid to use flash and don't take the time to learn to use it properly (I'm still learning)
and my favourite..
I really prefer to get it right in camera and photoshop is cheating or not photography

I've decided to comment on every shot in this challenge, since I'm sitting at 1 comments, and I'd rather try and take a positive approach to this rather than simply whining about my score:

I'm a sucker for purple. A nicely done studio shot, but something in the model's look seems a little forced to me. It lacks, in my eyes, JUST that amount of emotion needed to really grip me. However, of course, DPC doesn't really look for that. I'd imagine this is doing fairly well.
