090_with border.jpgby bennettjamieComment by MelonMusketeer: This is a very natural looking pose, and the light is excellent on the subject. I think that I would crop it square, or horizontal, to eliminate the large dark area in the upper left corner. |

Beautiful Brideby bennettjamieComment by drewhosick: You've captured the bride's face beautifully. The smile is great. But it's so tiny in this photograph. If you could crop a bit. As someone mentioned, you can loose some of the dress in this shot. The one thing that really pulls my eye away is the brick walls in the back. They seem distracting. Maybe a different vantage point would help get rid of that problem. Of course this is subjective and someone else may not see that as a problem. Maybe a smaller f-stop to put the background out of focus. Picture does need to be rotated so that it is vertical.

Peacockby bennettjamieComment by smudgeSMJ: Hey, no kidding, it is quite similar! I love the way peacock shots framed like this have a 2-D feel to them because of how shiny their feathers are. |

The Preditorby bennettjamieComment by Ja-9: oui, oui...very large indeed...did you do curves/levels...the shot seems to be a little "dull" in color...but you have an excellent capture of your subject!! |

Light Of My Eyesby bennettjamieComment by smyk: in my opinion the whole thing could be sharper. the thing that bothers me the most is oversaturation of the eyes and the blurred edges of the subject with the background. It's a little to "in your face" and obvious. The baby's left arm in yellow from photoshop manuipulation. You need to go over that spot with a black brush to fix it. Also, on the left side of the image you can see the folds in the sheet that was use as the background.
All these things make the image a little unpleasant to look at. It could be better, it just needs some more work :) |
