Since I can't think of a better word, the mountainsides you have shot looks a bit shabby. It looks like you have had a little bit to slow shutterspeed and tried to handheld the camera. Sorry...

Ha, clever. Comes from knowing that from top to bottom the strings on a guitar go EADGBE, so the vibrating string is the A string.

composition: a little off, no definite subject, which makes the eyes travel all over the frame, looking for something to focus on.

color:interesting find of colors. the oranges are offset well by the greens

contrast: flat, no real interesting contrasts

focus: good focus, can clearly state and tell what the plants are

depth of field: could have been used more creatively

lighting: flat

other: I hope i didn't come across as a putter-downer, but this image has almost nothing going for it. The subject, which I presume is the orange plant, isn't interesting. the colors are nice, but with no interesting interpretation of the subject, i feel this image is actually boring ina sense. These reasons are probably why your image scored so low. try revisiting this subject and looking at it from different angles, from a worms eye view to using the depth of field more uniquely. I think if you are going to do a just-eye image you need to get some light into the eye to bring out the shape and different colors and give it some life. Whatever your light source was here (it looks like it was from below) was not getting into the eye at all.
