Day 7 - Mayflower II Riggingby CapeSailComment by Alicia: I love ships! So automatically this is a winner with me. However, the crop is awesome, I like the way the masts and ropes almost fill the frame. And you did a wonderful job with the clouds. Very dynamic. |

Day 6by CapeSailComment by violinist123: All around not bad, especially if you aren't shooting portraits all the time (not that I do). Looks to me as if the focus fell on her hair rather than her face, and I think that holds this back a little bit. Otherwise it is a fine attempt. |

Day 4 - Unitarian Churchby CapeSailComment by colorcarnival: i need to learn how to properly dodge and burn. your contrasts do a nice job of conveying this gothic feel (gothic in the traditional sense lol). the only thing that is a distraction for me are the branches(?) on either side of the pic. Kind of runs into the details of the church. A cool pic! |

Day 6by CapeSailComment by Bruce_the_Robert: This is a good first portrait, catching the child sticking out her tongue is especially good. The focus seems to be on the top of her head (on her hair), though, and her face is a bit soft; having the eyes, or at least one of them, in focus can be pretty important to a portrait. I might have tried cropping a bit more off the left, but that might not have worked. |

Voyagesby CapeSailComment by mist: Good connection, I would have liked a bit more sharpness and vividity to the shots for a great score. |

Day 5 - Unitarian Church 2by CapeSailComment by sherpet: Wonderful piece of sculptured doors, in this archectural image.
The rextures are just outstanding, and so are the lines.
Great depth of tones really help to make this image sing.....
My only small suggestion is that I would have like to have seen this one centered a little more as it looks a little bit one sided. Message edited by author 2007-05-05 20:41:12. |
