Juvenile Song Sparrowby scottiehamComment by MacDonald: As other's have noted, the lighting is spectacular on this shot ... the catch light in the birds eye always increases the composition and I really like the way the branches pick up the color in the bird. Nicely done. |

Mooseby scottiehamComment by ellamay: A young male, nice find.
Light is always a challenge with wildlife, seems they are always active when the light is lowest.... one more challenge for the wildlife photographer : ) |

Mooseby scottiehamComment by SteveJ: Well, you seem to have done it again. I agree with you that a noisy shot is better than none. But, looking closer, the detail on the Moose and water, considering the ISO 3200, is really very acceptable. I think I prefer this to a pin sharp image. It is real and of the moment, a true capture of wildlife in not the best conditions.
This is going to be tough matching your shots:)) |

Juvenile Song Sparrowby scottiehamComment by scottieham: Originally posted by PhotoInterest: How adorable. I like the soft light and tint. Is that from the light that you shot this in or intended tint? It works well! |
The lighting and tint is from the time of day. It was taken probably about 30 minutes before the sun went down and it was just shining right on him. I try to shoot during the morning and evening to take advantage of this light. |
