Great idea, but the scale is just a little off for me. Subject could do with being a little bigger in the frame without losing the impact of the negative space.

I think that is a hang glider but it is very hard to tell. To make this picture better I think a much closer view would work & cropping so there isn't so much sky in the picture. Unfortunately the sky definitely takes away from the subject in this one. I think I get what you were trying for :) but you can only get so close to this subject.
