this shot does not work as a thumbnail - too dark, and the pose is unusual. I would say it was too dark, but the red on his led saves the shot. Excellent lighting on his upper body and excellent action shot.

Hi Stevie - Greetings from the Critique Club!

First of all, I think you did a great job capturing the essence of the still rings with this shot. You captured the athlete in a very difficult pose which really shows his strength and form (which is very good!). It also shows his determination. It's a very good composition with your subject well framed. The lighting is never the best in the places where these guys compete, but I think you did a good job with what you had to work with, and the picture is quite clean for shooting at an ISO of 1600!

I think maybe it was a bit of a stretch for the challenge, but your title was very appropriate - it IS too bad not many people show up to watch - these guys work hard!

I checked your portfolio and I think you're doing very well! I really like the shot you did for the Music challenge - that was a unique approach. Keep shooting and sharing these shots with us!
