Steve - an artistic effort in the rural challenge. I think the shot has a lot of potential, from the deep contrast between the black mailbox and the bright white letters, to the red flag up telling us there is some anticipation to the shot, to the flatness of the ground speaking rural farming. But I wonder about the choice of colors and hues in the sky - it seems very muted. Also, I wonder if a wider shot with the mailbox a bit over to the left and smaller on screen would have provided more of a feel of open space. In addition, by placing the box a bit to the left, you may have been able to cover the houses up on the left of the image and made this feel even more rural.

I once tried to capture fireworks. After 3 shots I knew that wasn't my specialty and I put the camera away ;)

You did a great job here. The colors and even the focus are good. Not sure about the crop though, too much space around at the top and the sides. Square crop perhaps?
