Well it's clearly half empty.... Not only is the distance from the water level to the top of glass greater then the distance to the bottom of the glass, but the bottom of the glass is rounded which removes even more water volume. So it's probably only about 40% full of water. Hope that made sense. :)

Too tight crop on bottom. Like the b&w treatment.

Comment by ahaze:
excellent idea, relatively well executed. I think this could have been done so that it looked a little more "clean" (cleaner glass, no reflections, cleaner table, straighter horizon line), and I personally would have preferred to be able to see the bottom of the glass. 7.

Not really an interesting Point of View in the way that the challenge details specified. Also it seems a bit 'washed out' so playing with the levels a bit to get a blacker black would have helped this image stand out more.

Well, I had tryed to get some of this before and will compart my experience. Glasses are so dificult to shot! They reflect many light, you need to improve the light control to remove the undesired, distractive frontal glare of it. Other thing that I learn is that glass are very dificult to mantain clear to shot. You had some smudges and pieces of material (apear to be from clothe) adhered on it. Finally the crop may show the entire glass.
