Congrats, Sonja, on a top ten finish! I took my three boys to the park yesterday to do a similar shot, only to find out they have removed this piece of equipment! This is a really nice shot.. I love the geometry of it. For me, shapes and contrast are both important elements of a photograph, especially a black and white.. great work :) = 10

When you look at a skull, what is the most prominant feature? I think it is the eye sockets. It would have been nice to have angled the head in a way to blacken the socketsas at the moment, my eyes are drawn to the teeth which are not really interesting.

By using a shallow aperture, both the foreground and background could have been sharp, which I think would improve the image dramatically.

However, well done. Good try =)

Nice subject and I like the B&W on this, I think it might be better composed if the skull was a bit smaller in the foreground and not so dominant.
