Such a wonderful and moving shot, I so want to see it perfect. Its soooo close, but the top gets distracting. At very first glance I wasn't sure about the main bright sun spot, but thats the best part actually. Then, however, if you put your hand up to the screen just enough to block out everything to the left of the top bright spot it reallly comes to life. When that area isn't distracting and taking away from the rest it is stunning. The top bright spot might be ok too, but at the very least really, really needs to fix that dark spot in the top left corner.
Really a wonderful shot though, something to cherish.

Windmill? At any rate, good subject matter for the past, but I think it would have been a vast improvement to shoot this picture at an angle and to have the lines of the porch fade off into some sense of distance. Basically, it feels rather flat.

From this angle it appears the pond is a backdrop. Usually I like a subject to be brighter than this boy but it works here. Nice going.
