m7sre.jpgby SonifoComment by Jedusi: Lovely capture, and very relaxed, happy feel to the picture.
I like the use of sepia here and the tonal difference between the girl and the rest of the picture - did you vignette this or just darken the rest ? |

traincopy.jpgby SonifoComment by Sonifo: Ok ..I know what PP means now.
Actually there was a huge tree on the left side of the shot that I completely cloned out. Burned the front and that's about it besides your normal sharpening and contrast/brighting. |

m12sre.jpgby SonifoComment by Sonifo: Thanks! Side distractions are a big problem, but I think this little one was pretty much done with the shoot. It took her daddy to tickle her to smile. I will give the speaking a try next time. |

m12sre.jpgby SonifoComment by escapetooz: this is cute. I'd say just be careful of her eye direction and of his hands, his fingers look kind of weird.
I always learned when working in kid studios to make a loud noise or say something funny right before you snap so that despite distractions they will look at you. And if there is someone off on the side being especially distracting, I usually explain to them it is best for the child to be looking at me and if they could stand directly behind me it would help.
I also find the background a little busy, perhaps a more shallow depth of field would have helped. |
