Beautiful Park soon to be a Golf Courseby SonifoComment by jimmyn4: This is a nice photo, I like the long shadows. I have one problem about the title. It is editorialized. Why you may think it is a beautiful park, the reader may not. With headlines try to stick to the facts. Say this photo is for a story about local citizens upset that this park is going to become a golf course. How about "Proposed Course Location Angers Locals" The story and caption could tell the reader where the location is. |

Rainy Dayby SonifoComment by sixmacs: Interesting use of noise as grain if intended. If b/w had grain and color did not it might have worked out even better. |

Rainy Dayby SonifoComment by Glacierwolf: A nice high contrast picture and you sure were on the right track, but, when you desaturated you also removed some of the green and yellow hues in the umbrella needed to make it's presense seem natural in the picture. |

Beautiful Park soon to be a Golf Courseby SonifoComment by taterbug: I like the composition of your shot. I feel a little conflicted because I really like the shadows you've captured with this light/time of day, but that same light seems over exposed/burnt out in the center. Perhaps you could have waited a little or taken just a little sooner, depending on if it is morning or evening. A difference of maybe 15-30 min. if that, could catch the sun lower behind trees, cutting down on the brightness, yet still catching interesting shadows. |

Rainy Dayby SonifoComment by Bran-O-Rama: Strong contrast but image appears noisy and oversharpened (I'm sure it isn't rain). Even with all the sharpening, it seems the umbrella wasn't sharpened at all and seems soft. I would've done quite the opposite softening the background and sharpening the umbrella to further drive the point home. Even though the umbrella is in color, i'm drawn to the busy background and sharpness of everything else except the color of the umbrella. |
