Princess by SonifoComment by doctornick: Beautifully done photo, great pose. The only thing that maybe you could have done is soften the image a little bit by applying just a teeny lil bit of Gaussian blur. That would have given it a dreamy appearance. 8 |

Princess by SonifoComment by Miinerva: Lovely soft potrait. I wish maybe that she was just sligtly more turned towards us so that a bit more of her other shoulder would show. But i really like this just the way it is. Wonderfull colours. Defentatly a top 5. |

Rainy Dayby SonifoComment by Sonifo: thanks, Steve!
I tried the grain like you mentioned but it looked as though the umbrella was fake. I should have submited the one without grain. Oh well, a lesson I will never learn. Creativity burns in my soul. :-) |

Princess by SonifoComment by birgir: I think that you should have blured the hair more to fitt with the rest of the image ... but great effect ... would love to learn this ... can maybe teach me after this challenge is over. 9 from me |

Rainy Dayby SonifoComment by StevePax: I'm shocked to see this one so low. Many commenters seem to think that you didn't notice the grain, or that it is there on accident. I think it would be difficult to get this much grain in your camera on accident - it is very obviously done on purpose, and I find it to be very effective. One commenter mentioned that perhaps you could have left the grain out of the umbrella, and put it in everywhere else. That is an interesting idea that might have worked as well. At any rate, I think this is a fantastic shot, with a wonderful mood. Nice contrast in the B/W areas, and great idea. |

Princess by SonifoComment by Pidd: Absolutely perfect. Even with just the thumbnail, I could tell this was an extraordinary composition. I love the soft pastels and the grey backdrop is the perfect balance to her silver wand. This little girl is an angel and you captured it perfectly. I'll be very surprised if this doesn't ribbon. Good luck! |
