I'd have got rid of the salt / pepper pots, and simplified the picture. I've submitted a few busy pictures in the past, and they never do well.

Goodness that makes me hungry! I might have chosen a simpler plate to put it on though; Pretty as that one is, it detracts from the subject and makes things look a little busy.

This seems a bit busy to me, and the lighting too harsh.
Suggestions:
1. Light from an angle instead of straight down onto the plate as it really makes the whites harsh.
2. Use a solid color plate instead of one with distracting patterns.
3. Consider displaying the raw eggs in a more appealing way than in the store carton.
