Fisherman (b&w 2008 #6)by nikolaosComment by salmiakki: Very dramatic. I know a little bit what Melethia means about wanting to adjust the horizon ever so slightly to the right. I would also love to have seen the rays of the sun just reaching the fisherman. That would be a different photo though and I don't think there is much wrong with this one! |

Fisherman (b&w 2008 #6)by nikolaosComment by Melethia: I love how there's just enough sparklies in the water to outline your fisherman's silhouette. Excellent composition, though you could crop the top a bit if you wished. Your horizon may in fact be level, but the curve of the shoreline makes me want to tilt this ever so slightly down on the right a touch. A very nice into the sun shot - very enjoyable to view. |

Under Fullmoon (b&w 2008 #5)by nikolaosComment by Melethia: It's the boat that catches my eye first, then the moon. Did you add additional light to the foreground rock? It strikes me as such and seems almost a bit unnatural. Overall the shot seems to me just a bit unbalanced, though if I hold something up to crop the left side, then it feels crowded. Not much help, am I? :-) |

Under Fullmoon (b&w 2008 #5)by nikolaosComment by CapeSail: These night water shots are fun to do, with the 30 sec exposure the boat is somewhat distracting...you could always clone it out. The texture of the water and rocks are great though. |
