I like the colors and the composition, but this picture doesn't quite 'pop' for me. Some combination of focus and lack-of-a-focus-of-attention, I suppose. It's about the light-flare, of course, but once I'd looked at the bright spot and the rays and the pretty scallops in the rays, my eyes dropped onto the tree and kind of blinked at it, as if to ask, "Is this all there is?" 7.

Interesting idea. IMO the light is a little harsh and would have been better if the light was toned down a bit. I do like the starburst effect. Also, for composition, I would have cropped a bit on the left and bottom so the light was not so central.

You've come up with a good idea for your submission and you've set it up and executed it very well. I particularly like the lighting set up, nice and bright but no blow outs anywhere.

Nice simple shot. I'd like to see the photo without the shadow. this could be accomplished by lining up the light source with the lens. Good luck. (nice having the work spectacle highlighted). Jacko.
