Rule of Thirdsby
robsmithComment by Journey: What a scary sob you are! Am afraid that if i give you a low score the guy in the middle will come after me. So, the National Enquirer is right after all: 3-headed monsters do exist!
Some suggestions: there's a lot of useless black space at the top; would have cropped near the top of the forehead. Would have recommended wearing a black scarf or something since the neck is rather uncomfortable to contemplate and since it has very light shapes, it draws attention to that area and away from the face, eh faces, and tend to lead the eye out of the pic.
The portraits on the left and right are great. Great lighting resulting in beautiful and intriguing shapes Particularly like the catch light in the eye on the left portrait. Mr Left and Mr Right look like sympathetic characters (also seem to have a very sensual mouth but let me not dwell on that, lol).
It's the guy in the middle that gives me the creeps. Oddly enough, he seems about double the age of the other two guys. That's what you get with those double exposures, i guess :) It isn't really a double exposure but a long one. He looks like he's a debt collector or a repossessor of automobiles on which payments have fallen behind or a mafia hitman or perhaps he represents the prototype of the dpc does-not-meet-the-challenge-1 voter. I really feel sorry for Mr Left and Mr Right that they have to put up with this creep. They ought to stick their heads together and come up with a scheme to eliminate the middleman. Poison him or burn him into oblivion (burn not dodge!) or drag him to the recycle bin. Hope it all works out for Mr Left and Mr Right.
This image has Dostoyevski overtones to it. It seems to tell the story of good and evil. I hope for you that it will have a hollywoody happy ending and not end up being one of those Dostoyevski miseries where everything and everybody is going to hell and you already know that by page 3 and then have another 700 pages of the most depressing miseries to go through.
My initial reaction to this pic was that i did not like it. However, it obviously generated a lot of interest in me and got my imagination all fired up. In other words, it has a lot of impact. I also love the title. So, i'll give it my top score for now and hope this pic does well in the challenge.
Sorry for writing such a long comment but when an image really hits me, i get carried away. Oh, and i also hope you drop the rule of thirds and reclaim self-rule. 8
