Soft Spikesby robsmithComment by Gordon: I like the incongruity of the subject matter, given the soft focus effect used. The tonal range is excellent, throwing all of the focus on the well exposed spikes. The duotone dark green is effective in furthering this too and the lines and flow is subtle and interesting. I love the soft glow to the spines. |

Give thanks to mother natureby robsmithComment by jonpink: bad points main subject is OOF if that is the leaf? Quite a lot going on that si quite dull.
Good points like the long format, but think it's wasted as there is nothing going on up top.
Overall Score 3

Give thanks to mother natureby robsmithComment by dsidwell: Lots of interesting textures, tones and colors here. I'm trying to figure out what that round thing is. Is it a mushroom? Looks huge! I love the idea that nature is something for which we should be grateful. I'm not sure that your image presents an ideal or glorified look at nature, but it does show its reality quite nicely. |
