flamingoby katiedid270Comment by moodville: This is compositionally good, the pose of the flamingo is good, as is the coloring of the bird. Lighting seems a little harsh on the very top of the flamingo's body, but not distractingly so. It's not the sharpest image, but does capture grace well. |

flamingoby katiedid270Comment by Ornis: It's a nice idea, but the background is very distractive, flamingo's head is overexposed and the flamingo is not in a really graceful position. Here, he seems to sleep. If you had more patience, perhaps he/she would have walked in a different place. |

flamingoby katiedid270Comment by bruski: Now that is talent. I personally would have liked to have seen a tighter compostition or crop of just the bird. It looks like your were going for a rule of thirds composition, but in this case the background is too busy and distracts away from the bird. I like the idea though. |

flamingoby katiedid270Comment by Fayech: hahaha. funny shot. i know it can't be helped, but wish the background was less busy. perhaps cropping in closer would have helped. the quirky elegance of the flamingo gets lost in all that brush. another possibility, maybe selective desaturation. :o) |
