While some may fault technicals on this, I think the poignancy makes this a tremendous shot. Maybe a little sad, but mostly contemplative as your title suggests. A tribute to what has been and what's to come. Very well done.

I like the face off of the two cars at the red light - almost like a jousting tournament. The two central buildings are well placed and create a nice backdrop for the entire scene. Exposure is a little bright, but not bad. Good detail throughout. Nice job.

Although it's probably a perspective thing, a slight tilt to the left would make this appear more "level" to the eye. I'd imagine a bit of levels and some hue/sat will bring this to life considerably.

This is a nice shot. I think what hurt was that it's a bit congested but it wouldn't look as good without some brush in there. I like the fact that the barn is not over saturated. Nice job.

okay I am bit confused in this picture, We have a woman here wearing a class A jacket with what looks like a brown Indiana Jones hat and what looks like no pants on holding a cat with a tutu on. You have a leopard print pillow and a flower background which doesn̢۪t really match. And she's also holding a bottle of wine instead of the more obvious "liquor" bottle. Wine is for celebrating, liquor is for depression in images. But that is just my 2 cents.

I like the way you included the whole trees, and yes, that is a very pleasing sky. I can see where "levels" and "contrast" will help this a lot to get the shadow areas up. Neat looking place. I would think it worth a spring time shot too.

A couple points higher if subject more in focus. Indirect light from window is good though.
