Excellent use of W/B and color adjustment to achieve this powerful effect of warmth and cold at the same time. It's a bummer that the blue in the sky was lost to get the orange and red. It would be just awesome if the blue was still there for contrast.
It would be interesting to compare with the original to see how different it must look.

Awesome perspective! I like it more the longer I look at it, with the great patterns in the roots up on the surface and the beginnings of the annual leaf fall. The angle makes it look like the tree is holding on for dear life.
