Unanswered Prayersby CharleneComment by JustinM: Actually that's not true. They were answered but just not in the way you wanted them to be answered. As far as the photo goes, to me it is very uninteresting and it looks as if Unsharp Mask has been used excessively. |

Unanswered Prayersby CharleneComment by Jedusi: Powerful emotion - hope this isn't a personal reflection.
My first reaction is that the door on the left should have been cropped out - but you need it for the sign to explain what you are looking into.
Strong shot. Not sure it will score well though. Good luck. |

A Parent's Viewby CharleneComment by riversong: Ohhh...nice tones and detail!! I'm all wow about the lighting!! The shadows in the foreground frame this nicely. Well done. |

Unanswered Prayersby CharleneComment by Venom: Whoa, your title is very powerful. Powerful in 'NOT' a good way. The B/W gives the photo a little extra umph.
PS. I hope you didn't have to experience this first hand. BB |

A Parent's Viewby CharleneComment by KIM986: This evoked emotion form me. I had a tough time deciding what score to give it. The title sent me 6 to 7! |

The Guardianby CharleneComment by NikonJeb: Okay......bear with me, I'm trying to learn how to leave carefully constructive comments. The contrast between the entire structure being visible *except* the way that the guardian is shrouded in shadow is disconcerting to me. I would like to see more definition on the guardian, or less on the steeple/tower. Perhaps angled as someone else suggested, or perhaps less of the steeple/tower below it. I agree that the colors seem a tad off. |

Unanswered Prayersby CharleneComment by loriprophoto: This is quite haunting, especially since I nearly lost my husband earler this year in a set up very similar to this. I cant say that it is an appealing picture to look from an aesthetic point of view but I like your use of B&W and the fact that it has the impact to stir the emotion that you probably intended it to prompt. 6 |
