You caught the lightning (a difficult enough feat) but the rest of the pic lets you down - it's a bit monotonal and there seems to be nothing interesting to draw the eye. A different composition and other colours would have improved this shot.

Not really a landscape but a great photo. I like that the bird is setting on a power pole, insulator included. I have seen this often and like that you've shown us this! Focus is good but could be better. Contrast is good generally, but could be better on the bird.

This is a very good (and creepy!) closeup of a spider. I like the "face" that appears on her (most likely a her) thorax - it's a very kind and benevolent face on a critter that gives most people the heebie jeebies.

the flash is a bit too harsh unfortunately. it leaves a very bright purple stripe on the wings.
