I can see what you were going for here, but I think it needed to be executed a little better overall. It's hard to pick out the ant, and the overall image is a bit blurry.

Nice idea but the ant is too small and out of focus to grab the viewers attention. This would probably have worked well as a macro shot.

Apparently worker ants are basically automatons controlled chemically by the colony, so whether they have a concept of home sweet home life that could meet the challenge focus is a point of doubt. The shot does demonstrate keen powers of observation, however, with pleasant pastel pink and green hues free from oversaturation.

I used this idea myself for this challenge myself. It looks very noisy though and the colors are kind of flat. I hope you don't mind but I took this picture and ran it through some photo editors and it made a huge difference. Let me know if you'd like to see the end result.
