Nice shot - a little too dark on my screen though. My screen is not formally calibrated, but I've tried to adjust it, and I think it's close. This shot might be nicer with a closer crop. And, yeah, what they said about the border. :) Still overall a nice shot. What were the settings? I assume bulb timer, but what aperture/ISO?

Gosh, this is beatiful with the reflection on the water, the horizon, a few lights along the shore, the clouds. I think my head would explode if I ever got a shot like this. Wonderful. It's a testament to the fact that lightning shots don't have to just be about the lightning.

To me, the border is very overpowering. I'd either remove it altogether, or make it only one pixel. Other than that, it's a great shot! Congrats. I've always wanted to get lightning shots, but NEVER have, so I'm quite envious of you.

Great Shot! This would make a great print. However I would do a way with the purple border and just let the picture fade into the black border. The image is strong enough to hold its own and I feel does not need the bright border.

I think without the border, even though the lightening is small, it will draw the eye straight to the subject. I hope this comment helps because I believe this is one of the best lightening pictures I have seen. The picture is Simple, gives a false sense of security because the lightening is far away, but yet powerful.

Just to add to the first comment. Its not to dark on my monitor. I can see the reflection in the water and can clearly see the distinction between sky and land.

Great Capture and love the color.
