The Lady Takes a Drinkby TCGuruComment by colorcarnival: Sunshine, flowers, butterflies... is this what it looks like now where you live? Lucky girl! This is a beautiful shot. I love the clarity and warmth projected from this image. I'm ready for spring! |

Defiantby TCGuruComment by levyj413: Your treatment of the background really adds to this - gives it a feeling of coming torment that you're facing head-on. |

Disdainby TCGuruComment by levyj413: Spectacular lighting and pose. My only concern is that your clothes are so dark they come out as a big black space. |

Confusedby TCGuruComment by levyj413: Oh, that's HILARIOUS. I mean, the facial expression plus the book is great, and then I notice the shirt. :) And just perfect lighting and composition. Well done all around! |

The Lady Takes a Drinkby TCGuruComment by levyj413: Hey, hey! Your butterfly shot beat my bridge shot. :) The backlighting on the wings is just beautiful. Sorry you missed your guess by so much! :P |

Lonelyby TCGuruComment by levyj413: That's just beautiful and emotive. Terrifically lit, too. :) I usually don't get all "guy ogling the women" in my comments, but I have to say that a shot like this is going to make lots of guys want to help you through your loneliness (some women, too, probably!).
The wall on the left feels a little extraneous. Didja try it with the left wall cropped out, so your face is closer to the left edge? Just holding my hand up, I like that better - your dim, blurred feet in the distance visually balance your bright, clear face. Message edited by author 2008-02-08 00:27:38. |

Remorseby TCGuruComment by levyj413: Ok, Jojo, you know I gotta give you an honest critique. :)
I like the shot, the composition, and the focus. Your skin looks almost a little too smooth, but just stays within the realm of makeup vs. processing (in other words, my tastes run to not to much makeup!). My only nitpick is that I find the bright part of your hair draws my attention away from your face. Maybe a little b righter on your eyes might balance that out? |
