Take a Bowby EstimatedEyesComment by Bear_Music: Bummer your dreams were dashed so cruelly. I can't believe I'm the only 10, but there ya go. What a wonderful shot, in my book... If you'd entered this in Fine Arts, which I'm jurying, it would have made my short list and been guaranteed an honorable mention... |

wordby EstimatedEyesComment by PennyStreet: I really like this picture a lot. I like the mysteriousness. I keep coming back to it - trying to figure out what it is but I guess it really doesn't matter. It's balanced, it's interesting, it has texture and shape.
The only thing that kind of bothers me is the vignetting around the frame, but only kind of. Good job. 8 |

wordby EstimatedEyesComment by RUEDISCHMUTZ: Would I hang it on my wall. Probably not, but still a very intersting picture. However I judge on what I would hang in my apartment. I am sure about the "fade in" frame. Make it bigger or take it away. Still give a good 6 |

wordby EstimatedEyesComment by Paul: One of my 10s. The composition here is best in show; the book, the shadow, the lines, the water - all hang together beautifully. |

Take a Bowby EstimatedEyesComment by Youngie: Would have found a larger depth of field more appealing, or perhaps even using hyper-focal distance on your distance scale, even a smaller aperture would have helped ... but just my opinion ... the use of leading lines to pull the viewer's attention towards the bow was good, but for me would have been better if the ship was in focus all the way around ... |
