Seven Treesby EstimatedEyesComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I like what you've tried to do here - using the motion blur to emphasise the linearity of the tree trunks. The dappled lighting serves to add some depth to the image too.
Critical stuff: As sound as your vision is, I don't think you've pulled it off. The large mass of ground that makes up the lower half of the image isn't (in my view) particularly suited to that sort of effect and the trees themselves are not vertical enough for the technique to work.
Overall: I like this sort of image but this one doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. |

Waitingby EstimatedEyesComment by giantmike: I like the idea behind this photo, but I don't like the ghosting effect. If you could have had the people sit still for the length of the exposure, I think it could have been really cool. |
