Day 28: Mt Diabloby EstimatedEyesComment by dtremain: Beautiful sky. Perhaps a little less foreground (from just above first major plant). Mt. is a bit hazy - don't think there's a whole bunch you can do about that.
The sparse vegetation in the foreground adds a sense of desolation or abandonment. This does not look like a friendly environment. The threatening sky just adds to the sense of foreboding. Even the slope of foreground going down adds to this feel. This photo has lots of elements well done, all pulling in the same direction. Nicely done.

Whisksby EstimatedEyesComment by yanko: I like what you did here. It nails the still life with motion theme beautifully. |

Gone Darkby EstimatedEyesComment by posthumous: a sense of scale, a sense of time, you almost go back far enough, you almost make it small enough, to bring it back to life.

Day 25: Humming Alongby EstimatedEyesComment by jasonlprice: I didn't think I would like this looking at the thumbnail, but I do at full size. I agree with cogerox however about the oof branches, and I wonder if they could simply be cropped off or you could clone them out. I'm amazed you didn't have any fringing in this, especially cropped at 75%, that Pentax lens must be great. |
