This is a nice photo, in a street photo kind of way. Tells a story, engages the viewer. The B/W tonal range is very well covered. Compositionally I think the subject is too centered with the image having a horizontal split. Pull up the bottom, trim in the right a tad...? Just a thought. As for the challenge - what's the connection to the School Days theme?

i really like this. compositionally, love the lines and the juxtaposition of the square buildings to the circular pan. its as if the world is stiff and rigid and the instrument is round and flowing; lifelike and wonderful in this stale world. the four windows also help balance the placement of the musician. i love this!

interesting repitition of pattern focuses on the lone man but just as detail is lost in the shadows the photo doesn't tell if the man is lonely or just alone.
