the angle / position of the shot does seem a bit of a standard in terms of cow photography (if ever there was a specialist field)... however, it is decidedly appealing. i like the brightness of the colours (the biege cow, grass and sky, particularly), the lack of clutter away from the cows. and cow noses always get the thumbs up from me. i'm not quite as keen on the position of the sun - the shadow of the cows left ear makes it look a smidgeon unbalanced to me. also, the cow on the right is a bit too silhouettey - can't see the buggers eyes. in all though - it's great! 8.

Wonderful use of the wide angle lens. It's a great shot - one of my favorites. Improve it eevn more by: a) Better lighting on the faces - especially the animal on the right, b) Catchlight in the visible eyes and c) Remove the white part of the border. It draws attention way from the image. (The ear tag is unfortunate photographically but a fact of life these days.)
